Prof. Kasturi Rangan, Ph.D, Principal

Professor Kasturi Rangan brings a rich blend of over two decades of corporate leadership and more than a decade of academic insight to his work. His career trajectory showcases a successful transition from the financial services sector to academia, underpinned by a strong foundation in both practice and theory.

Following his MBA, Professor Rangan established himself in the financial services industry before pursuing his scholarly interests, culminating in a Doctorate in Banking Sector Reforms from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

His extensive corporate tenure provided him with hands-on experience across a spectrum of critical financial domains, including Merchant Banking, Loan Syndication and trading in Government Securities, Capital Markets, Corporate Accounts, and Direct Taxes. Notably, he also contributed to the user-side testing of an ERP package within the construction industry, demonstrating an early engagement with technology in business processes.

Professor Rangan actively contributes to his field through scholarly engagement, having presented numerous papers at national and international seminars and published his research in various journals.

His current areas of academic interest are broad and interconnected, encompassing Banking, Capital Markets, Direct Taxes, the evolving landscape of the corporate sector, and the transformative Applications of Technology across diverse business functions.
